How to enter three steps, whether it is your first night or your thousandth
1Get on the list. Emerald is whitelist only. Send the King your exact Minecraft name. Playing on a phone, Xbox, PlayStation or Switch? Send your gamertag and say so. Bedrock names wear a dot in front, like .Ethan: that is how you appear in the world, in chat and above your head, and how the list knows you. Java names have no dot.
2Java Edition (the PC launcher): open Multiplayer → Add Server → paste amethystrealm.com → Done → join. That is the whole spell.
3Bedrock (phone, tablet, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Windows app): the door opens from inside the house, and there is a sheet that walks you through it one screen at a time, no jargon. ✦ OPEN THE EASY MODE SHEET The short version: Servers → Add Server → 192.168.50.169 port 19132. Switch players pick The Hive instead. Far from the house? Ask the King for a Topaz.
◆What is a Topaz? A small Wi-Fi point the realm lends you. It sits in your home, plugs into your internet, and puts out a Wi-Fi named Topaz. Join it from your Switch, Xbox or PlayStation and the console stands inside the kingdom's walls: Emerald appears as if you were on the couch downstairs, and Switch LAN games reach the King's own. That is all it does. It is a door for your console, not a change to your house's internet, and it never touches your other devices.

WHICH MINECRAFT DO I HAVE?
JJava Edition is the one on PC and Mac that opens through the green launcher and says Java Edition on the title screen. It talks to the world address directly.
BBedrock is the one on phones, consoles and the Windows Store, titled just Minecraft. A bridge inside the Keep lets it walk the same lands as Java. Bedrock players: use the Easy Mode sheet.

Why "Emerald"
Emerald is beryl set aflame with chromium — a green that forms only where two unlikely elements meet, which is why the ancients named it the stone of true promises. It is also the one coin the villagers of that blocky other-world will accept. The Valley of the Ancients was born on a rented host and carried home into the Keep on the fifth of September, 2026; every night since, its chunks are carried to the Vault, and every morning the world is exactly as it was left.
